On Nov. 2, senior English classes were invited to the Learning Commons throughout the day to attend a meeting about graduation accessories sponsored by Herff Jones and the senior delegates. Students were given a packet with information including caps and gown sizes and other items they may purchase with order forms to fill out.

“I wanted to work with the seniors on making graduation awesome,” senior delegates sponsor Kristen Dicarlo said. “I’m excited to get graduation prepared, and this is my first year doing it so I’m just excited to get it all together.”

Students will rent out their gowns and return them after graduation but will be able to keep their caps and tassels. There are many order packages that offer varieties of different ways to purchase their cap and gown including a t-shirt bundle, hoodie bundle or a senior bundle. It also has personalized graduation announcements available and jewelry. Price may vary.

“I’m ready to graduate because it seems like what we’ve worked for the past three years is like seeing the finish line in a long race,” senior Evan Bernard said.

Students will be able to place their orders in school Nov. 9, 10 and 11 during lunch periods, in the evening on Nov. 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the front lobby of school, or in the morning on Nov. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the front lobby as well. All orders coming in after these dates must be mailed to Herff Jones P.O. Box 510827, St. Louis, MO 63151-0827. If students have missed the meeting and would like more information, visit Dicarlo in room 132.

“I thought it was surreal because it means that we’re graduating soon and that high schools almost over,” senior Kama Struckhoff said. “The different bundles are cool because they offer variety. I think I’m going to buy one, but I’m not sure yet”
