Spring is known for having unpredictable weather, and with outside sports, weather has been an issue with practices and games. However, for baseball, it hasn’t been as big of a problem as it could’ve been.
“As long as it’s not a total mudpit, we can play,” Assistant Varsity Coach Mike Freedline said. “We also have a batting cage we can practice with, though we would like to practice outside.”
Despite having had a canceled game in their week-long baseball tournament called the Midwest Classic, the morale of the team has been high lately.
“We’ve struggled at times, and we’ve had a lot of good times that are promising too,” junior Josh Wagner said. “We’re 2-1 in the second half of our season, and things are going a lot better.”
