Homecoming Court Announced at 2017 Pep Assembly

Juniors Dillon Lauer and Jada Adkinson were nominated to the junior Homecoming court by their class. They were named as part of Homecoming court on Sept. 21, during the Pep Assembly.

After many voting complications, the Homecoming court was announced during the pep assembly.The court consists of two females and two males from each class. Except in the senior court, nominations for homecoming King and Queen consist of three females and three males instead.

This year’s freshman court includes: Isabela Granjeno, Linsey Zerbonia, Braxton Adams and Brenden Yates. 

“It feels good to win,” Zerbonia said. “I didn’t think I would, it was kind of a surprise.”

This year’s sophomore court includes: Amelia Primeau, Lauren Bauer, Kaelan Gibson and Bryan Cannon.

“I was really surprised,” Primeau said. “ I’m excited for the dance and to see what Stuco did.”

This year’s junior court includes: Jada Adkinson, Summer Cline, Dillon Lauer and Maurice Massey.

“I was excited to make the ballot with my girlfriend, but it would’ve been cooler if we both made court,” Massey said.

This years nomination for King and Queen include: Jamie Sneed, Maddlynn Wood, Catherine Arnold, Alex Baker, Christian Witte and Connor Gallagher.

“Whenever they called my name for homecoming court I was super excited and shocked, because I didn’t think a lot of people voted for me,” Witte said. “I’m very thankful and very grateful for this opportunity.”

The King and Queen will be announced during half time at the Homecoming game on Sept. 22. The rest of the courts have already been finalized.
