Principles of Biomedical Science Students Gain Real World Experience

Emily Zhang

Mr. Riffee’s Principles of Biomedical Science class is one that teaches students the basics of science and health. This class uses a hands-on interactive style of learning to get students involved in the class and prepares them for their futures in the health field. Today, students are applying their knowledge by dissecting sheep hearts. The sheep heart dissection includes many objectives like labeling and identification of the heart, and gives students experience in the exploration of a real organ. Students are “diving right into” this dissection and learning a lot in the process.
