The Boy’s Varsity Soccer team has a home game tomorrow at noon against Fort Zumwalt South. FHN (3-5 so far this season) beat FZS (2-2 this season) last year during districts. Coach Larry Scheller is hoping that the game tomorrow will also turn out in North’s favor.
“Hopefully the game turns out in our favor,” Coach Scheller said. “If we string it together, I know we can play well and hang with them.”
North’s team is very young this year and is lacking much experience on the varsity level. However Scheller still sees this as a positive.
“We are young and improving,” Scheller said. “If we continue to improve like we have been then we’ll be a pretty good team.”
Scheller is looking for a lot this game from two of his captains, Samm Worsley and Alex Bolte.
“Sam and Alex are some players to watch for this game,” Scheller said. “They’re my captains and they have the most experience on varsity. They are aggressive every game.”
Keegan Fouch, a sophomore on the team, is looking forward to the chance to play a good team at their game on Saturday.
“I think this will be a tough game for us tomorrow,” Fouch said.
Captain Alex Bolte is hoping for and expects a good game tomorrow.
“If we play smart, we should win,” Bolte said.
