Varsity team, players chosen for ’09 baseball season

Driving by the school, anyone can see how hard the baseball players have been practicing for the past week. They were able to practice outside with the warm and dry weather. The teams were progressively decided but made final on Monday.

On Tuesday, Coach Bob Dunahue announced this year’s Varsity team.
“It’s going really well,” junior Zack Short said. “I’m really excited for the amount of talent, and the mix of mature and seasoned players along with a mix of young talent.”
The Varsity players will continue to practice every day over spring break and Saturdays also. The boys need 14 practices before their double header on the Monday after spring break. They will first play DeSmet at Troy for the Troy Baseball Classic. The tournament will end on March 28.
