Tonight, the Varsity boys Volleyball team will be playing the Francis Howell Central Spartans. The team is very confident about their rivalry game after spending the past few practices preparing for the match. They come into this game with a record of 6-2.
“The goal is to win, but that’s achieved by hard work and communication,” outside hitter Ethan Bohnert said.
Coach Vonfeldt has been struggling with his team on their unity. They have been arguing in practices and games. Instead of just working things out or putting differences aside for volleyball they just fight on the court. According to multiple players on the team, the fighting is a big problem for them but it doesn’t stop them from earning their victories.
“I think if we get our act together and don’t get our heads down we have a very good chance of winning,” defensive player Tony Orlando said.
In spite of any obstacles there might be in the way of the team going into tonight’s game, the players have no notion of letting a loss come without a battle.
“I intend to play the game of my life and play my heart out,” Bohnert said.
