The boys Varsity Volleyball team took home a win Wednesday, April 24 in an away game against Pattonville. The Knights were able to defeat the Pirates in two games with the final scores of 25-20 and 25-16.
“What we did well today was playing our game by talking to each other and coming together on mistakes. We are at our best when we play our game,” said junior Ethan Bond.
According to Bond, a swing player for Varsity, the best thing they did was playing their game in defeating Pattonville in two games.
“For our next games, we need to hustle more and be scrappier,” said senior Jake Tecklenburg.
During the match, the Knights gave up points that could have been prevented by showing more hustle according to Tecklenburg. The Knights know they cannot be lazy against the better that they face.
“Our goal for the rest of the season is to destroy every team we face,” said junior Logan Bergman.
For Bergman, he believes they are a great team that can hang with any team when they play their game.
“The team is not satisfied unless we come home with the win,” said Bergman.
The boy’s are preparing for the GAC tournament next month and are hoping to go deep into the tournament.
“To prepare for GAC’s, we are working extremely hard at practice every single day,” said junior Lewis Stein.
