April 23, The JV Knights Volleyball team faced off against the FZE lions. The Knights won in consecutive sets with a final of 2-0.
“We have been playing a lot better and we have been working hard in practice to fix mistakes and I think that showed tonight.” JV coach Heather Mohoney, said.
The Knights went into the game on a four winning streak and hoped to continue their momentum. The Knights jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back, winning the first set 25-8.
“We came out with intensity and never looked back,” junior Josh Carpenter said.
Carpenter had three kills and one block on Tuesday.
The second set had a similar outcome. The Knights gained an early lead and never lost it. The Knights won the second set with a score of 25-14
With GAC’s fast approaching the boys hope to keep riding their momentum and win districts.
“I think we have a good shot at winning GAC’s because we have been playing well and we won our last tournament.” sophomore Miles Theis, said.
The Knights played another game against Pattonville April 24.
“If we play our game, we should be in good shape,” junior Jimmy Higgins, said.
