Chelsea Priebe (Senior)
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team has been working out and playing in leagues together since the end of last season and senior Chelsea Priebe is excited for the new season. Priebe believes that the team this year has the potential to go undefeated. She believes that she needs to work on being quicker and more aggressive without fouling. Chelsea believes that the team needs to communicate better in order to improve. “Just being in the gym together helped us build our chemistry. Now we are playing like never before and it’s a great feeling,” Priebe said.
Allen Paaren (Junior)
Bowling
Junior Allen Paaren has been preparing for this season by practicing every Wednesday. He misses last year because they were a lot better, but the newbies will get better Allen states. Paaren believes that he needs to work on slowing down the ball and the team needs to be more serious. His favorite part of bowling is being able to hangout with all his friends.
Chase Powelson (Sophomore)
Boys Basketball
Sophomore Chase Powelson has been preparing for this season by doing a lot of workouts in the preseason. Chase likes this season so far because of all the talented players the team has. He believes that in order for the team to improve, they need to work on chemistry together. Powelson’s favorite part about playing basketball is having fun with his fellow teammates while playing a sport he loves.
Chris Bounds (Sophomore)
Wrestling
Sophomore Chris Bounds has been preparing for this season by playing football and weight lifting. Chris missed the first two weeks of the year because of an injury, but is excited to get back into it. He believes that the team needs to work on coming together as a whole, and that he needs to work on conditioning. “It’s you and only you who can win the match, not anyone else,” Bounds said.
Lindsay Grzeskowiak (Junior)
Girls Swimming
Junior Lindsay Grzeskowiak has been preparing for this season by eating healthier and working out. She likes this season a lot because the team has gained a lot of newcomers. Lindsay wants to work on her endurance and fly. She believes as a whole they all need to get to know each other better. “My favorite part about swimming is pushing myself to go faster and try harder which improves my times, and it makes me stronger,” Lindsay said.
Mitch Carlson (Sophomore)
Hockey
Sophomore Mitch Carlson has been working out all summer to prepare for this season. Mitch believes that at first the season started off slow, but it is starting to speed up. In order to improve, according to Carlson, the team needs to keep feeding fellow teammate Cody Pingleton who is the leading scorer. Mitch’s favorite part about hockey is the speed and intensity of it.
